You have heard Indian names Running Bear, Thunder Cloud, Soaring Eagle, Biggy Boy, Crying Wolf, White Rain, Sun Bones, and let’s not forget two Dogs F***ing!

I am a fishing guide on the Lower Quinault River which is in the boundaries of the Quinault Indian Nation. I call myself “Memory Maker”, helping to make memories for a lifetime.

For me fishing is a feeling in your spirit or soul that I feel at all times. I am trying to pass this feeling off to you. If you can grasp the feeling you are in luck!

For me, fishing is not “how many fish you catch”. It is the surrounding that you feel in which the fish live and swim. The serenity of the land.

This is what runs through my veins. That feeling inside. The calming that comes within.

Then, the explosion of the water! “FISH ON” Breaking the silence of the moment and the fun begins.

I have a few clients that feel that feeling that I’m talking about. Dr. Rich Lewis, Dr. Jon Taylor, Alan Pettibone, Wally Vincent, Steve Robecker.

For a chosen few, they know that true feeling and what my fishing trips are about.

For others it may be only 1 st fish, biggest fish, most fish, and of course out fishing the guide!

Over time I have caught plenty of fish. For me it’s showing people how fun this sport can be and IS!

I try to bring the wonders and surroundings to their attention. The sounds, smell, touch and feel.

That’s what fishing the Lower Quinault River is all about. It touches the Soul and Spirit!

Give a man a fish and he can feed his family for a day. Teach a man to fish and he can feed his family a life time!

Once you realize all of this you can pass it off in life to others!
