"AWESOME, TREMENDOUS & UNBELIEVABLE !!
By: Steve Robecker

I started fishing with "Benny" in the early 90's.   The first year was a one tripper, but since then I try to book 5 or 6 trips a year.

I can still remember the first trip, we fished a few holes and ended up in one of Benny's honey holes, which was across from ten a-clock creek.  I hooked a fish that I thought by the feel of it would go in the high teens or better.  When the fish was finally in the boat, I looked at Benny and asked him what he had done with the fish that I had on as this one only weighed 5 or 6 #s.  He looked at me with a "what are you talking about" look on his face and said "that's a Blue!"  Those fish have shoulders on them for their size!!!!

It would be impossible for me to relate all of my experiences on the Lower Q with Benny, but to try to sum it up in a relative short manner I guess that I would have to say AWSOME, TREMENDOUS & UNBELIEVABLE !!

We have had days where we brought 24 steelhead to the boat, usually one fish per year that will go in the 20's, fish that we couldn't control, etc, days you see elk or deer or bear or otter or eagles or and on and on.

The Lower Q is a wild and free running river, surrounded with beautiful scenery and fishing with Benny just makes it all that much more of a wonderful experience.

FISHING TIP:  When fishing for Blues, set the hook right before they bite!
